Emily Krushefski is dedicated to providing the highest quality treatment in a comfortable, relaxing environment. Attention and care are given to understanding and accommodating individual client needs with a focus on therapy that works. Emily is trained in multiple evidenced-based treatments, or types of therapy that have been tested and shown to work through research. This substantial training history, combined with years of experience provides clients with a polished, professional therapeutic process involving patience, support and encouragement.

Emily Krushefski earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, and has been in full-time private practice since 2002. Prior to that, she worked in foster care, which inspired her to expand her training to find therapy that really works for clients. Emily specializes in working with adults and adolescents with multiple concerns including depression, anxiety, self-harm and suicidal behavior. She also enjoys working with high-functioning clients seeking to maximize their effectiveness in both their personal and professional lives. She provides Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy-Prolonged Exposure (DBT-PE), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Emily Krushefski’s expert level training comes together with her clinical experience and trust for her client’s own point of view on problems.  This combination allows her to work with clients providing practical treatment that focuses on getting results. She has participated in training with Dr. Marsha M. Linehan, who developed the DBT model; and has consulted with Dr. Alec Miller, co-author of Dialectical Behavior Therapy with Suicidal Adolescents. Emily is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Arizona and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Montana. She is also a Certified Individual Dialectical Behavioral Therapist (DBT) with the DBT-Linehan Board of Certification.

Ms. Krushefski has a history of assisting clients with very difficult problems that are hard to change. For help with complicated situations or if a client needs a highly skilled therapist, she often exceeds expectations. People who live anywhere in Arizona or Montana can be treated by online video conference allowing access to the highest quality care from the most remote locations or just from the comfort of one’s own home.

“Emily Krushefski is a talented intensively trained DBT psychotherapist with whom I have had the pleasure of consulting to over the past two and a half years (2013-2015). I’ve been impressed not only by her clinical skills but also by her passion and commitment to helping those suffering from mental health issues on a broader scale.“
